'Icons of India' - Part1. "Bapuji and Rajendra prasad"

Today we are launching a series of articles that will make you aware about those Indian heros who has influenced us, motivated us, shown us the path, enlighten our life and guided us to be what we are today. we will talk about two personalities in each article. Follow us to be the part of this journey.We will start with Our Father of Nation and first president.

Mahatma Gandhi: Born on 2nd october 1869 and famed as Bapuji. He has freed us from the British rule and renowned as 'Father of Nation'. He taught us the lesson of truth and non voilence ( " satya ahinsa").  This lesson was valid, is valid and will always be valid in human society.He made us belive that nothing is impossible if you unite and work for a single ambition. After freedom of India, very soon he left us on 30January1948. But his lessons are still alive.

Dr.Rajendra Prasad: Born on 3Decrmber 1884 in a small village of Bihar state.He was a child prodigy. He was very talented by birth and has so many stories of his excellence. He was one of the crucial member of INC during freedom struggle and supported Mahatma Gandhi's protests. In 1946 elections, Prasad served as Minister of Food and Agriculture in the central government.

After the Indepence, he was elected as president of India. As President, Prasad established a tradition of non-partisanship and independence for the office-bearer, and retired from Congress party politics.He was re elected as president in 1950 election. He died in 1963. He is awarded as highest civilian award in India ' Bharat Ratan'.
