Icons of India: Swami ji and Neta ji.

Welcome to the article series of 'Icons of India.' Today, We will know about two heros from Bengal.Swami Vivekanand:  Born on 12January1863 and famed as 'SwamiJi'. He is credited with raising interfaith awareness and bringing Hinduism to the status. He gave the concept of Nationalism in colonial India. Every body knows for the epic and historic speech that he delivered in America that began ' Sisters and brothers of America'.

He was a key figure in the introduction of the India philosophies of Vedant and Yoga to the Western world. He founded Ramakrishana mission dedicated to his Guru, that organisation is still active and working for humanity. He died on 2nd july 1902 but his contributions remained with us forever.We Thank him from the bottom of heart.

Subash Chandra Bose:  Born on 23 january 1897 and famed as 'Netaji'. His contibutions in making of India can never be counted.Its very difficult to accommodate him and his works in this short article. He awaken the Indians during freedom struggle and made them realise about a feeling, emotion and responsibilities towards Motherland called 'Patriotism'.

He gave the slogan 'Jai Hind' and worked in Indian national Army and conducted many Battles succeesfully. He was elected as  president of INC twice. He was very impressed with Swami Ji and he was great follower of his. He belived that Every individuals should be ready to put his life at stake to get freedom,thats the only way to encounter Britishers.

He gave many slogans to motivate Indians and finally his motivation produced many great freedom fighters like him. We are obeliged to you Netaji for you contributions.
