On 08.04.2021 9:20 PM, I get off the train at Anandvihar Station. Had dinner and then slept at the station on the ground. I tried dormitory but could not got any. So I had no option than to sleep on the floor. Had already set the alarm for 4:30 am, So that I could get up early and get fresh in public toilet near to the station.
So as planned , I waked up early on 09.04.2021 and left Anadvihar railway station to take metro from the Anandvihar metro. Reached Saket at 7:15 AM and took Rapido. It took me to the interview centre which is the RINL office.
8:00 AM: All candidate were called inside the Conference room. As soon as I entered the room, I found few quotes on the wall regarding the use of hindi language. One of them was :" Hindi ka samman , Desh ka samman" ( Respect to the hindi is respect to the nation). It really touched me.
The document verification process started few minutes later. First they did the Bio metric and then checked our documents. Among the 32 present candidates in the morning session I was the last one to get through the process as I had no NOC from my present employer ( Directorate of land records and survey, Bihar). I tried to convience the invigilator and finally he agreed to take an undertaking and allow me to appear for the interview.
11:30 AM. My turn came. Before I entred the interview room the security Uncle tried to boost my confidence and calm down my nerves by his motivating words. I asked for water and thanked him for his kind words. I had few sips and then entered the interview room.
Did the everything right ( as per my observation) like Asking for permission to enter in to the room, wishing the board members and thanking them for offering me the chair.
Interview started:
Board Member( BM) : " What are you doing for 5 years after completing your Btech?"
Me: " Sir after passing engineering, I have been trying for the govt organisation and to be in the organisation the only way is to get through competitive exams, So I have been grooming my knowledge to compet and excel. Last Year I joined as special survey clerk in the Directrte of Land records and survey, Bihar"
Bm: " Why you are leaving this job"
me: " Sir, Its a contract basis job and also not related to Engineering"
Bm: " How many types of welding?"
me:" Sir, when talk about solid soild interface, its Friction welding, diffusion welding, forge welding...when We talk about solid liquid interface, Its Metal inert gas welding, Tungsten gas welding,.....interrepution..
Bm:" What is inert gas and which gas is used for welding?
me: " th gases that does not react with any other substance ...Argon, Helium.are inert gase...argon is used in welding to shield the welding part from Contamination...I repeated the eg of inert gases ....then again interreptiion about use of helium in welding..I said No sir am saying that Helium is a inert gas...i Tried to mend my mistake..
Bm: Fillet joint?
me: Stammered and answered though I told the types as trasnverse fillet and parallel fillet.
Bm: Draw the symbol of fillet joint.
me: drawn the symbol, bit it was incorrect.
BM: tell me the examples of hardening process.
me: " marstempering and ausptempering"
bm: " this is tempering process not hardening"
me: Sorry sir...its carburing, cynading, case hardening, .....
bm: " do we use cynading now a days?"
me: " Sorry, sir I dont of much of industrial knowledge, so i dont have any idea to todays secanrio.
Bm explained me the use of cynading ..
Me: " Thank you sir.
Bm ( female): what are you doing in survey.
other Bms also started to question about land survey( not technically) I explained my role in the survey and little bit of ETS MACHINE that is imporant part of land survey.
Bm: Which material is used for bearing?
Me:" It is for sure steel but dont know exactly which steel.
bm: " what shoud be the property of bearing materials?"
me: " Sir, It should be hard, wear resistant, Corrosion resistant...
Bm: What about thermal conductvity..high or low?
me: It must me high sir, so that it could easily reject the heat being generated due to friction and also there is lubricant where there is bearing to carry away the heat.
Bm( female): Is there any steel plant in Bihar?"
me: " No Maam, It is in Jharkhand, which was the part of Bihar till 2000."
Bm(female) : " what other steel plant do you know"
me: " Tatal steel plant, Jindal steel plamt, SAIL, Nagrana*....
Bm: Where is Nagranan* ?
me: "Sir porbavly on west coast..
bm: where?
Me: In karnataka( i Guessed)
I was wrong..
Bm: its near to your state, its i. chattisgarh.
Me: " Yes , sir....itwas recently in news due to pri....
Bm: " yes privatisation issue"
...
Bm: Okay, you can go.
Me : Thank yous it.
and left the room.
Submitted the TA reimbursment form and left the building thanking the security .
Called my one friend( female) to meet . As I had more than 8 hours in my hand..My train was from Newdelhi station at 9.00PM . We planned to meet.
I went to her location. We had lunch and just walked around , had lot of talks. It was nice spending time with her. Infact, This is the first time we met. We had never met before. We knew each other from last 8 montns,Since the online training of DLRS.
We talk on phone a lot , share our problems and happiness but this was the first time we met, It was possible only because She was on leave otherwise she would have been in Bettiah today and we might have not met. I could not express how nice she was, it was really one of the good days in last few years that I have experienced.
The great thing about our meeting was,we didnt realise that we have never met before.. it was like meeting any other real life friend and talking heart out.
I am so thankful to her for her precious time. I could write a lot about this but lets move on to the day.
We walked to the bus stop, and after she took the bus to her home. I came back to the Dwaraka metro station , took my train and came to Newdelhi station. Waited there for 3 hours for the train to the Ara. And Get on the train at 9 : 00 PM . So bye bye Delhi and Bye Bye N...
Hope to come back here again but not as candidate. Delhi has changed alot in last 4 years and I throughly enjoyed the day.
And About her,no words to express the happiness, but one thing for sure now we are not just a Internet friend . We are now a real life friends, So hope will keep on meeting very often. And Thanks again.
